I picked this back up since it works well with Steam In-Home Streaming. Anyone else still playing?

To qualify for the Nar Shaddaa Sky Palace Stronghold with five rooms unlocked, the Subteroth Mini-Pet the Character Titles “The Intrepid,” and “The Illustrious,” and the Stronghold title, “Galactic Stronghold,” your account must be in active subscription status on May 11, 2014, at 11:59PM PDT / May 12, 2014, at 6:59AM GMT.

I'm sure I'm the only one, but if you're debating subscribing, do it before midnight tonight to get the player housing fully unlocked, a 4 million credit value.

Housing is now available. It's a huge credit sink, and currently only available to subscribers. But it's pretty neat. Guild flagships and planet conquering looks cool, I haven't tried it yet

New expansion will kind of be like SWTOR 2.0

Nothing is confirmed yet, but datamining indicates that everything changes. Crafting gets simplified, all stats (strength, willpower, aim, cunning) all get put into one stat (mastery) for simplified gear, and all companions go away and you get fresh ones. Once you start the new expansion (level 60), there will be no going back. You may or may not be able to visit the 'old world'. It's also for subscribers only. They will be releasing story 'chapters' every few months/weeks/whatever and they'll be available for subscribers only. Most of it seems to be fairly single player built, so for leveling it may become less of an MMO and more of an online RPG where group content is only max level stuff.

All unconfirmed because EA is VERY tight lipped about it, which is strange considering it's only 2 months away.

The companions part is the most distressing for many players, because you've had these companions for almost 4 years and now they just disappear and you're expected to replace them.

New expansion is fun. It is single-player only for the story, which is kind of weird for an MMO, but whatever. The dungeons and end-game content are all as multiplayer as ever, but the leveling from 60-65 is purely single player.

The story is damned good. It's good Bioware storytelling.

They are releasing a 'chapter' of content per month. Each 'chapter' is about an hour if you speed rush through it. It's the story mode. There 9 chapters currently, and starting in January there will be one released per month. When you subscribe, you get all the chapters until that point. So if you subscribe now, and stop, you will have the first 9 chapters of content. If you subscribe in March, you will have 12 (9 now, Jan, Feb), for example. So some people will stay subscribed, but you can subscribe in the future to get the content when you choose too. Kind of confusing, but EA is testing the waters with constant content and constant subscriptions.
I'm having a conversation with myself, nobody cares about this thread, and I don't care. fuck you.

I still play this.

The new content and subscription is more like a single player RPG than an MMO. The new chapters are solo only, nobody can join or help you. $15 gets you all the content upto the point you're at. So if you don't have it, consider it a $15 single player RPG. It's good if you think of it that way instead of an MMO.
