Moga Game Controller

Unread post by Zathu » Fri Dec 28, 2012 4:01 pm

I scored a free Moga game controller. http://www.powera.com/Products/PROD_MOB ... em-Android" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Compared to a PS3 controller, it's pretty cool that it folds up and you can easily keep slide it into a jacket pocket. It actually fits my Note 2 but that's as big as it can go.

It's supported natively by more big-name games than the PS3 hack, as well. As far as I know there's still no way to get a PS3 controller to run naively with Gameloft games, but this does it out of the box. Pretty neat. I'll be available in retail outlets like Best Buy soon, too. Will be interesting to see it develop as it inevitably becomes more popular.

There's also a third-party driver app that will allow it to work universally: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... aime&hl=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

hmmmm.... This has me interested. How does the controller feel though? It looks small. Does the Note 2 devour this thing?

That looks uncomfortable, like you're holding a brick.

That's not a bad thing, since it works on non-rooted devices and will be available in regular retail places as a turnkey controller, which a sixaxis can't do. Those two things make game devs more inclined to support it ass well.

The pro's now available for 25% off:

I'm considering selling the PS3 controller and getting this, it's much simpler to run with software-wise IMO.
